Friday, November 6

Travel to McAllen, Texas
Conference Hotel: Marriott Renaissance Casa de Palmas McAllen Hotel 101 N. Main St, McAllen

6:00pm-10 pm Meet in hotel lobby and enjoy McAllen Art Walk

Dinner afterwards, on our own

Saturday, November 7

8:30am Breakfast at Rex Café & Bakery, 321 S 17th St, McAllen
(Please note: need quarters for parking meters)

10:00am Museum of South Texas History, 200 N Closner Blvd, Edinburg
Barbara Stokes, archivist, to give tour at 10am of Dia de los Muertos Altars and permanent exhibition

11:30 am Vida Antiques (Shopping break)

12:45 pm Lunch/Outdoor garden party Quinta Mazatlan 600 Sunset Dr, McAllen
(Please note: we will be eating outdoors; wear comfortable shoes for walking paths)

2:00 pm Tour: Mission Historical Museum Annex, 900 Doherty Street, Mission
Tour of Day of the Dead exhibit and WPA post office mural/painting

3:45 pm Hidalgo Pumphouse Museum, 902 S 2nd Street, Hidalgo
Trolley tour of Hidalgo,Tx historic buildings and border fence/wall
